Procrastination

Today has been one of those days. Not sure why but I've started this blog post four times now, each time with a different subject. And, it's taken me only 2 1/2 hours to get this far.

I've read a couple other blogs, caught up in a discussion group, chatted with my mom by instant message, google chatted with another writer and even made a few notes on another idea for a story.

One of the things most writers have in common is procrastination. So, help a fellow writer out and share your cure for procrastination.

Me, I'm going to turn off Instant Message, set my status as busy at google chat and apply the BIC method. Hopefully, I'll make some progress.

Is it procrastination or marketing. I came across your blog through a link on the Mystery Writers and Lovers of Mystery. So I decided to become a follower. Hope you will follow me as well On Wings Of Murder. Good luck on your blog.

Now, now Speck, you know I am the queen of procrasination all winter long, except when I write those articles telling everyone else not to procrastinate. LOL!

Seriously though, I find the only times I put things off is when I have loaded too much on my plate. I freak out knowing it can't possibly get done, so I find myself browsing the Internet, checking my email 100 times, and getting up to do housework I would usually just avoid.

So, think about what you have going on and see if you need to slow down a bit. Ha, ha. A mother who is going to slow down. Should I be slapped now?

Really, think of what you need too, and make sure you find a way to make it happen.

Nice blog!
